Our Preschool will be involved in the Assessment and Rating process on the 9-10 June 2022. This means an authorised officer from the Department of Education Early Childhood Directorate will be visiting to assess our service against the National Quality Standards (NQS). There are seven quality areas that are assessed based on evidence collected from observations and discussions. The seven quality areas are:
Quality Area 1: Educational program and practice
Quality Area 2: Children’s health and safety
Quality Area 3: Physical environment
Quality Area 4: Staffing arrangements
Quality Area 5: Relationships with children
Quality Area 6: Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
Quality Area 7: Governance and leadership

A short time after the assessment process, our preschool will receive a rating for each quality area, as well as an overall rating. We will share and publish this updated rating with our preschool community as soon as it becomes available.
